Military Pay Chart 1990

1990 US Military Basic Pay Charts

On November 29, 1989, President George H. W. Bush signed Public Law 101-189, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1990, which waived the automatic adjustment authorized for military pay consistent with yearly increases in General Schedule pay rates, and instead increased the rates of basic pay, basic allowance for quarters, and basic allowance by 3.6%.

The Navy active duty end-strength total, officer and enlisted, for 1990 was 579,417.

The United States military pay scales became effective on January 1, 1990 and continued to be in effect until December 31, 1990. It is the basic pay amounts for the active components of the Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard.

The pay rates are monthly, US dollar.
